چکیده
Amniotic band syndrome (ABS) is an uncommon, congenital fetal abnormality. Lower extremity limb defects are the common manifestations of ABS. The most common features include congenital distal ring constrictions, intrauterine amputations, and acrosyndactyly. Rare cases of craniofacial and visceral defects were reported. A female newborn, born at 33 weeks of gestation from a 43 years-old mother, gravida 6 para 6. The newborn was eutrophic (birth weight was 2500g, length was 46 cm and head circumference was 31 cm). Pregnancy was uneventful. Prenatal ultrasonography follow-up showed no abnormalities. Postnatal examination showed signs consistent with the diagnosis of amniotic bands syndrome at the newborn's left limbs. The newborn presented syndactyly, lymphedema, with distal agenesis of the 2, 3, and 4 fingers; ring constrictions of the great toe, and distal agenesis of the 2nd toe. No other birth defect was associated. The newborn was discharged on the tenth day of life. He was referred for orthopedic management of these anomalies.

Amniotic band syndrome: a case report.
A report is presented of a 45 day old female infant with congenital amputation of the great toe, complete constriction bands of the lower leg and fingers all of which are explained by congenital amniotic band syndrome. There is a brief review of the literature on the pathology and possible aetiology.
متن کاملAmniotic Band Syndrome with the Involvement of Trunk: A Case Report
Amniotic Band Syndrome is a sporadic congenital disorder that may result in constriction bands, amputation and multiple craniofacial, visceral and body wall defects. Its incidence is estimated at approximately 1:5000 to 1:10,000 pregnancies. Band formation most frequently affects the distal segments, including the hand. We report a case of constriction amniotic bands involving the trunk.

In this case report, it is our purpose to relate our findings concerning bloody discharge as an ominous sign in the conservative management of premature rupture of membranes, (PROM) as well as to present relevant findings of the amniotic band syndrome such as amputation of one leg, constriction rings in two fingers, and pseudosyndactyly in the toes of the remaining foot in a 28 week old ne...

We reviewed the background information and previous clinical studies that considered the use of allogeneic amniotic tissue and fluid (granulized amniotic membrane and amniotic fluid) in the treatment of chronic diabetic foot wounds. This innovation represents a relatively new approach to wound management by delivering a unique allograft of live human cells in a nonimmunogenic structural tissue ...
